Downloading Files from the Web

Download Files. Right click on the hyperlink to the file that you'd like to download. Choose Save Target As. Direct the file to your Desktop, Download folder, or other convenient location.

Click on the hyperlink and when a dialog box asks what you would like to do, specify that you would like to save the file to disk. Direct the file to your Desktop, Download folder or other convenient location. The dialog box will let you know how long the download will take and when the download is complete.

Once a file is downloaded, you may have to:

• Run a SETUP file to install a new program or database to your computer;
• Unzip a zipped/compressed file; or
• Copy and paste the file to a specific folder.

Comments:

• After you've run a SETUP file or unzipped a ZIPPED file, you generally no longer need the original SETUP file or ZIP file and may delete it.
• In some cases, you can run a SETUP file or unzip a ZIPPED file directly from the web rather than first downloading the file.
