I raise money to support a non-profit organizations. This includes grant writing, events, and asking people for donations. What I like best is meeting the goals that help others.

What education or training did you have to prepare for this career?

I have a masters degree in psychology and an undergraduate degree in English. I think my writing skills helped. When I first began raising money, there were no classes in it. Now you can major in it.

What education or training do you recommend for students today who want to enter this field?

At least a 4-year degree. The more courses taken in business and development the better. This is a competitive industry.

When you were in high school, did you know that you would enter this field?

No - I did not.
