Graphic Designer

I am a graphic designer focusing mainly on web design. I enjoy meeting the challenges of being creative on a daily basis and creating a product that is attractive and at the same time functional.

What are some related career opportunities and job titles in your company or in your career area?

Within graphic design there are many different routes you can go. Some designers work for offscreen environments, ie: product and/or print design, while others design for onscreen, ie: web design and/or motion graphics.

What education or training did you have to prepare for this career?

BS in Graphic Design from San Jose State University in San Jose, CA.

What education or training do you recommend for students today who want to enter this field?

I would recommend a college education with at least a BA or BS in Design / Graphic Design. All Art majors would also apply such as fine art, photography, industrial design, illustration etc.
